NTTA does not set toll rates, operate, or maintain TEXpress Lanes. Toll rates for TEXpress Lanes are determined by the North Central Texas Council of Governments’ Regional Transportation Council.
For questions about TEXpress Lanes please call (877) 525-3979.
TollTag customers receive the lowest toll rates on TEXpress Lanes.
TEXpress Lanes are toll lanes built within an existing highway, expanding capacity to accommodate more traffic. Toll rates on these roads fluctuate based on the level of traffic in the corridor in order to maintain a minimum of 50 mph speed of travel.
TollTag customers receive the lowest toll rates on TEXpress Lanes. Tolls are deducted automatically from your TollTag account. Drivers without a TollTag will receive a ZipCash bill by mail at the higher toll rate, just as they would for driving NTTA toll roads. NTTA’s same habitual violator toll enforcement tools, such as vehicle registration block and vehicle ban, also apply on TEXpress Lanes.
Drivers can use the TollTag on all other toll roads across Texas, from Austin to Houston.
All toll road lanes designated with an EZ TAG or TxTag sign will also accept your NTTA TollTag for payment, provided your account is in good standing and the vehicle’s license plate is on the TollTag account.
