Horatio Porter serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the North Texas Tollway Authority. In this role, he leads the accounting, business diversity, procurement and treasury departments to help maintain the Authority’s financial strength. His responsibilities include assessing and mitigating financial risks to the NTTA, planning financial strategies and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulatory laws.
Prior to accepting the role at the NTTA, Porter oversaw an annual operating budget of more than $1.4 billion as the city of Fort Worth’s CFO. Before moving into governmental finance, Porter served in various financial and accounting roles in the private sector, including serving as assistant vice president/officer for AmeriCredit (now GM Financial), as a manager of financial planning and analysis for FedEx and as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand.
Porter has served the community in a number of roles. Currently, he's a member of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board and Neeley School of Business Board of Advisors. He's also on the board of directors of the North Texas Community Foundation and TCU's Clark Society. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from Texas Christian University.
