Derek V. Baker Joins NTTA Board of Directors
PLANO, Texas – January 17, 2024 – Derek V. Baker was sworn in as a Collin County appointee to the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) Board of Directors at NTTA’s regularly scheduled board meeting January 17.
Baker is a licensed Texas real estate broker and top-producing realtor.
Prior to his career in real estate, he was a political activist for more than 25 years, working in Congress for members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
He served on the staff of then-Rep. Mike Pence, Sen. Phil Gramm and Rep. Jeb Hensarling.
He also served as a senior policy analyst for the House Republican Study Committee.
“Derek’s decades of legislative and economic development experience will be a great fit for the NTTA board,” said NTTA Board Chairman Marcus Knight. “We welcome him and look forward to his contributions to North Texas mobility.”
Baker replaces Jane Willard, who stepped down from the board after 13 years of service.
