The $10 TollTag is a great money-saving option for drivers who don’t drive on toll roads often but want the lowest toll rates. The $10 TollTag has the same benefits and works just like a standard TollTag – electronic debiting of a prepaid account – but the balance required is just $10 and only one vehicle can be on the account. There is no monthly fee for a TollTag, tolls are only deducted from your account when you use a toll road.  

The $20 TollTag is a great money-saving option for drivers who don’t frequently use toll roads but want the lowest toll rates. The $20 TollTag has the same benefits and works just like a standard TollTag – electronic debiting of a prepaid account – but the balance required is just $20 and only one vehicle can be on the account. There is no monthly fee for a TollTag, tolls are only deducted from your account when you use a toll road.   

Daily commuters and drivers who use toll roads more frequently would benefit from a $40 TollTag account. Tolls are automatically deducted from your prepaid account whenever you use a toll road. You can have up to three vehicles on the same TollTag account at no extra charge. For each additional three vehicles, the recharge amount increases by $40 (for example, three vehicles have a $40 recharge, four-to-six vehicles have an $80 recharge, etc.). There is no monthly fee for a TollTag, tolls are only deducted from your account when you use a toll road.   

If you’d like to receive your TollTag immediately, please open a TollTag account  in person at an NTTA Customer Service Center or a Regional TollTag Partner location. If you open your account online, you should receive your TollTag via USPS within seven to 14  business days after we receive, verify and process your information. Your vehicle will receive the TollTag rate while waiting for your TollTag to arrive.

Yes. TollTag accounts are available to vehicles registered in other states. You can choose to open a new TollTag account for your vehicle or add it to an existing TollTag account. Up to three vehicles can share a TollTag account at the $40 rate.

The most convenient payment option is using a credit or debit card to maintain your account. TollTags linked to a credit or debit card can be used for parking and pass-through charges at Dallas/Fort Worth International and Love Field airports and on toll roads throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and most of Florida and Colorado. TollTags can also be funded with cash but these accounts must be open and replenished at one of the six NTTA Customer Service Centers.

Your TollTag operates on a radio frequency and is most clearly read from your windshield’s glass surface. Read the TollTag four-step installation guide or watch the short video for more information. Once your TollTag is installed, do not remove it as the technology embedded in the TollTag will be destroyed and will no longer work. You can get a replacement TollTag by contacting our Customer Service Center at 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-731-NTTA (6882).

Yes, TollTags may be used on motorcycles, and work best when mounted on a windshield.

No. Removing the TollTag destroys the technology inside it and makes that TollTag unusable. We offer free replacement TollTag stickers to existing account holders. Any time you obtain a new vehicle, you should update your TollTag account with the new information and request a free replacement TollTag through our Customer Service Centers or by calling 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-731-NTTA (6882).  Specialty TollTag replacements must be purchased.

When you purchase a new car with temporary (paper) license plates, you must update your TollTag account with the temporary plate number, expiration date, year, make and model of the new vehicle to avoid receiving ZipCash invoices for your tolls. You may update your account online or call NTTA Customer Service at 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-731-NTTA (6882) for personalized assistance. You may request a free replacement TollTag by calling or visiting one of our Customer Service Centers. Once you receive your permanent license plates, please update your TollTag account with the new information.

NTTA participates in Account Updater, a service offered by some banks and major credit card companies to help keep your credit or debit card up to date with approved merchants and organizations. This helps you avoid getting ZipCash bills if the card we have on file for your account has expired or has changed, and you received a replacement card from your bank.

Account Updater is a service offered by many banks and major credit card companies. This service automatically updates credit card information, including a new number or expiration date, to approved merchants or organizations. NTTA participates in this program to help keep our customers TollTag accounts in good standing. 

If your bank or credit card company participates in the Account Updater service, you can opt out of the service by contacting the bank or major credit card company that issued your card.

TollTag accounts can be opened and replenished using cash, checks, credit cards or debit cards. Accounts linked to a credit or debit card will be replenished automatically when your account balance falls below the required threshold: $10 for $40 TollTag accounts and $5 for $10 or $20 TollTag accounts. You may also make one-time payments to your TollTag account with a credit or debit card. If you prefer to maintain your account with deposits by cash or check, you may do so at any NTTA Customer Service Center or at a participating Regional TollTag Partner.

You can add a TollTag and make account changes any time through online access to your TollTag account. This brief video makes it easy.

You can cancel/deactivate one or more TollTags through our online customer service center.  Or please call our Customer Service Center at 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-731-NTTA (6882). Please have your TollTag account number, or license plate number or TollTag “DNT or DFW” number ready. (The “DNT or DFW” number is located on the back of your TollTag, above the bar code).

If your TollTag account has a negative balance, we will bill you at the higher ZipCash toll rate for any tolls you accrue on toll roads. You can add funds to your TollTag account through online account access, Tollmate app or visiting one of our Customer Service Centers or by calling us at 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-731-NTTA (6882). You can receive email or text notifications when your TollTag account balance falls below the required balance of $10 – just be sure to include your email address and mobile phone number on your account information. You must opt in to receiving these notifications. We will also email or text you if the payment to replenish your account is declined by a linked debit or credit card. Use your online account to sign up to receive text alerts when your account balance reaches the low balance threshold.

As a TollTag customer, you will receive ZipCash invoices if (1) you do not update your TollTag account with accurate vehicle or credit/debit card information or (2) you do not maintain enough funds in your TollTag account to pay the applicable tolls. You will be notified and begin to receive ZipCash bills at the higher toll rate if your account balance is negative. These bills follow the same billing process as all other ZipCash bills. To ensure accurate billing and prevent any disruptions in service, update your TollTag account any time with the year, make and model of your vehicle, new license plate number or credit/debit card information changes.

Yes. TollTag members whose accounts are linked to a credit or debit card may use their TollTag to pay for terminal or remote parking and pass through at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport as well as parking at Dallas Love Field Airport.

To reset your password, please enter your Username in the Username box and follow the prompts on the screen. You will be asked to select a Security Question and correct Answer. Once the verification process is complete, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Once you have changed your password, please allow 5-10 minutes before attempting to log back into your account. After three unsuccessful attempts to login to your TollTag account, the system will direct you to Contact Customer Service for assistance. A Customer Service Representative will send a temporary password and your User ID to the email address listed on the TollTag account. Once received, enter the temporary password and your User ID in the corresponding fields. Once logged in, you will be prompted to create a new password, which requires providing the User ID and the temporary password again.

To add a vehicle to your TollTag account, click on Vehicle/TollTag information on the upper right-hand corner of your account’s home page. Click “Manage Vehicles” and locate the “Add Vehicle” tab. Enter the license plate number, state, year, color, make, model and vehicle class. Click the “Save” button. To remove a vehicle, click “Manage Vehicles” and locate the license plate you want removed and click on the “Deactivate” button found in the “Actions” column.  Or you can contact Customer Service for assistance at 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-713-NTTA (6882) during business hours.

From the “Payments” tab, click “Make a Payment.” The minimum payment amount is $10 for a $40 TollTag account and $5 for a $10 or $20 TollTag account. Once you’ve entered the amount you wish to add to your TollTag account, click “Make Payment.”

No. Each TollTag is assigned to a specific vehicle and its corresponding license plate number so vehicles may not share a TollTag. However, you may request an additional TollTag for another vehicle: Up to three vehicles can be added to a $40 TollTag account in increasing in increments of $40 for each vehicle.

No. You can add a rental vehicle to your account, but toll transactions are not at the lower TollTag rate –transactions will be deducted from the TollTag account at the ZipCash rate. To receive the lower TollTag rate, there must be a TollTag sticker affixed to the windshield and assigned to the license plate of the vehicle. Since rentals are for a temporary period, a sticker TollTag is not assigned to that vehicle. Once the vehicle is returned, you must remember to remove the rental vehicle from the account or the TollTag account will continue to be charged.

You received an invoice because the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles database still lists you as the registered owner of the vehicle. If the vehicle was traded to a dealership, please upload the bill of sale through your TollTag account. Customers can also mail or bring a copy of this document to one of our Customer Service Centers. If the vehicle was sold to an individual, please file a TXDMV Vehicle Transfer Notification (VTN) and include the seller's full name, valid phone number and the buyer’s full name, valid address and phone number, as required by law. The DMV will reject the VTN if this information is not included and the transfer will not be recorded.  The VTN should be submitted immediately following the sale.
